So, I finally read this fic that’s been cropping up in people’s favorites forever. It wasn’t something I’d normally read, but hey, it’s summer and I don’t have a life. But this author referenced another story, talking about how awesome it was so I decided to check it out, hoping it’ll be good especially since I was surprised by how much I enjoyed her fic. 

It’s about to be taken down. 

Normally, I wouldn’t be upset, people take down stories all the time, what they do is their own prerogative. It isn’t my place to try and tell people what to do even if I enjoyed their stories. But the reason I’m upset, the reason I’m making a post is because this author is taking it down cause she keeps getting bashed about. THIS IS NOT OKAY. She wrote this fic in 06 and she’s still getting comments in 2012? About how badly written it was and an overall not good fic. If you think a fic is bad, DON’T FUCKING READ IT. Personally, I thought it was decent. Actually, I thought it was pretty damn good. Like I said, it wasn’t something I’d normally read, but hell, that doesn’t mean I couldn’t enjoy the crap out of it. It’s fandom for crying out loud. No one starts off as a pro. I just, I hate seeing this sort of stuff. A decent writer is leaving fandom and deleting her stuff because she was being harassed and I, I just wish there was something I could do about that. I wish her the best, seriously, cause I don’t know what I’d do in her position.
